Man Severely Injured In Alleged Stabbing In San Marcos, Suspects At Large

SAN MARCOS, CA — A man was severely injured in an alleged stabbing at a park in San Marcos, and the suspects were at large, it was announced Thursday.

Sheriff's deputies responded shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday to reports of one victim with what appeared to be several stab wounds to his chest and possibly one to the arm, in the 1500 block of Linda Vista Drive at William Bradley Park, according to a report from News Flash Media.

It was reported that deputies performed life-saving measures on the victim. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The man was currently in serious but stable condition, the report said. His name was not available.

A department helicopter assisted deputies who were searching for up to four suspects, it was reported.

As of Thursday morning, at least two people were detained then released during the search. No suspects have been located, according to the report.

It was unclear if the suspects knew the victim prior to the stabbing.
