Man Stabbed 5 Times In Back In Mountain View

An unloaded handgun was recovered at the scene.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 53-year-old man was stabbed five times in the back Thursday in the Mountain View neighborhood, but he refused to cooperate with police and provide any information about the suspects.

The stabbing took place in the 1000 block of South 45th Street at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, according to SDPD Officer David O'Brien.

A witness saw three men running southbound through a park but was unable to provide any further description, the officer said. An unloaded handgun was recovered at the scene.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries but not considered to be life-threatening.
