CHULA VISTA, CA — A 35-year-old man is in a hospital after he was stabbed Monday during a fight outside an AM/PM convenience store and gas station in Chula Vista.

The stabbing was reported around 4:30 p.m. Monday outside the store at E Street, east of Interstate 5, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported, citing Lt. Gina Grippo of the Chula Vista Police Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive, the newspaper reported.
