Man, Teen Arrested In Violent Armed Robbery In San Diego County
Deputies found items believed to be connected to the robbery while searching a home in Ramona, authorities said.

RAMONA, CA — A man and a teenager were arrested Wednesday in connection with a violent armed robbery in Ramona, authorities said.
After serving a search warrant, Jahziel Hayes, 18, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested without incident around 5 a.m. at a home in the 1700 block of San Vicente Road in Ramona, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The robbery happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at Stars gas station at 1910 Main St. in Ramona, Sgt. Sean Gallagher said. Hayes and the other suspect, whose name was withheld because he is a minor, were accused of assaulting an employee and stealing merchandise from the business.

"Deputies located items connected to the robbery while searching the home," Gallagher said. "They also found two privately manufactured firearms, commonly referred to as ghost guns."
The suspects were booked into San Diego Central Jail and San Diego Juvenile Hall, respectively, on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of an illegal firearm, Gallagher said.
