- Ouch! Prices have risen 13 times in 14 days. Local gas prices are up to $4.71 in San Diego County. This is only 1.5 cents less than the Oct. 8, 2012 record high. How long will this trend continue? - The City will repave more than 50 miles of roads in neglected neighborhoods under the Mayor’s ‘Sexy Streets’ initiative. Some districts will get as little as 2 miles of roads paved, while other districts will get 12+ miles paved. Wondering what projects will be addressed in your district? - Butterflies flutter by and we love to see them. The good news is that there has been an increase in the number of Monarchs, likely a result of good weather during the breeding season, according to Sarina Jepsen of Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. “But it's a very hopeful sign and it to me, it says we have a little bit more time to work on recovering the monarch population.
