Motorcycle Rider Injured In Crash In San Diego
The rider was ejected when his motorcycle struck a Mercedes-Benz after entering an intersection on a red light, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 24-year-old man riding a gray and black 2023 Suzuki 750 motorcycle suffered multiple serious injuries in a collision with a compact executive car Thursday in the Oferrall neighborhood of San Diego.
San Diego Police Department officers were called at approximately 4:43 p.m. to the 6200 block of Skyline Drive, where they learned a 61-year-old man driving a silver 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 north in the 400 block of South O'Meara Street was stopped at a red light and then began a left turn when the light turned green, said Officer Robert Heims.
The rider was ejected when his motorcycle struck the Mercedes-Benz after entering the intersection on a red light. He suffered a brain bleed, a collapsed lung and pelvic, femur and wrist injuries, Heims said.

The driver of the Mercedes-Benz and his 64-year-old female passenger had no injuries.
The department's Traffic Division is investigating the collision and anyone with information related to it was asked to call 858-495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
