Motorcyclist Seriously Injured Crashing Into Light Pole In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 20-year-old motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after driving onto the sidewalk and colliding with a light pole in the Sorrento Valley neighborhood of San Diego Saturday.
The collision occurred around 7 a.m. Saturday, when the lone rider of a 2019 Triumph motorcycle traveling eastbound failed to navigate a curve in the roadway at 5800 Valley Blvd., near Canyon Overlook Sunset Point, according to the San Diego Police Department.
"The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where he was treated for multiple brain bleeds, collapsed lung, kidney damage, spinal injuries, fractures to his right arm and pelvis," the department reported.
