Motorist Arrested For Driving Under The Influence Of Marijuana
The driver was arrested at a DUI checkpoint in Escondido.

ESCONDIDO, CA — A motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana at a DUI checkpoint, the Escondido Police Department said Friday.
In addition, 21 drivers were cited for driving without a license, and one was cited for driving on a suspended license.
The checkpoint was at East Valley Parkway and Beven Drive from 6 p.m. Thursday to midnight Friday. Of the 2,708 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, 1,046 motorists were contacted.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
