Pedestrian Hospitalized After Collision In University City
The victim sustained abrasions to his head, face and legs, a fractured tibia and fractured ribs and was taken to a hospital.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 38-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by an unknown vehicle in the University City neighborhood of San Diego, police announced Thursday.
Officers from the San Diego Police Department responded at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday to 4600 La Jolla Village Drive where they learned the pedestrian was in the intersection of La Jolla Village Drive and Town Centre Drive near the west crosswalk when the driver struck him, SDPD Officer Jose Perales said.
The victim sustained abrasions to his head, face and legs, a fractured tibia and fractured ribs and was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition. There were no witnesses to the collision, no vehicle description and it was unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the collision. Fault for the crash has not been determined, police said.
