Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In San Diego

A 26-year-old man was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in San Diego, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 26-year-old man was injured early Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in San Diego.

The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 7000 block of El Cajon Boulevard, near the intersection of 70th Street in the Rolando neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.

"A 20-year-old woman driving her 2021 Nissan Altima struck the pedestrian in the roadway. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a fractured pelvis," the department reported.

Police said alcohol was not a factor. The victim's name has not been released, and no further information was immediately available.
