Popular San Diego-Born Coffee Chain Continues Expansion Across County

SAN DIEGO, CA — A popular San Diego-based coffee chain continues to expand across the county with another new location and more stores planned in the future.

Better Buzz opened its newest location Thursday in Vista. The San Diego-born coffee roasters and café serves handcrafted espresso drinks, coffee, teas and smoothies, as well as made-to-order food items and fresh pastries.

Amanda Cameron, vice president of marketing at Better Buzz, said the company is thrilled to open its doors in Vista.

"Every new store is a celebration of the communities that inspire us, and we're incredibly grateful to the Vista community for welcoming us with such open arms," Cameron told Patch. "As Vista is the home of our roastery where we roast all our own beans by hand in small batches, it means the world to us to see how our passion for quality coffee and good vibes continues to resonate."

In celebration of the opening, Better Buzz is offering an exclusive opening drink called the Mazapan Latte.

The drink is only available at the Vista location for the first 30 days and features creamy vanilla, peanut butter syrup, espresso and milk. Served with a classic mazapan candy, customers can savor a taste of nostalgia alongside Better Buzz's beloved buzz–factor.

Customers at the new location can also enjoy the chain's seasonal limited-time menu, which features summer-inspired treats such as the Coconut Best Drink Ever, Tropical Buzz Energy and Blue Crush Bowl, as well as new coffee offerings like the Raspberry Blondie Best Drink Ever and Caramel Vanilla Best Drink Ever.

"The support and enthusiasm from our customers, both long-time Better Buzz fans and new faces, help fuel our growth and keep the buzz alive," Cameron said. "We can't wait to bring our handcrafted drinks, friendly service, and signature energy to the neighborhood."

Founded in 2002 as a craft coffee cart by two college students, Better Buzz now has 24 locations in the San Diego region.

The Vista location comes after a handful of recent openings in the San Diego area as well as Orange County, Las Vegas and Arizona.

Better Buzz made its Poway debut in March, followed by a new store in Fashion Valley in June.

The company has plans to further expand in its hometown with stores slated for Rancho Peñasquitos and the San Diego Airport later this year, a spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

The Vista location is open from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at 1465 E. Vista Way, Suite A.
