Poway Brush Fire Sparks Evacuations, Now Fully Contained: Officials

The fire broke out about 5:15 p.m., officials say.

POWAY, CA — A brush fire sparked evacuations in Poway Saturday — but the fire was quickly contained, officials said.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff's office, a fire located at Poway Road and Springhurst Drive led to heavy smoke.

As of 6:57 p.m., the fire was fully contained; evacuations were no longer ongoing, officials said.
