San Diego County reported another 753 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, while also noting five more deaths from the disease.

According to the county Health and Human Services Agency, another 518 infections were recorded Monday and 664 on Tuesday. The total over the three-day period came to 1,935.
The new cases gave the county a total of 912,653 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. The deaths increased the county’s virus-related death toll to 5,464.

Meanwhile, the number of people hospitalized with a coronavirus infection in San Diego County, meanwhile, rose again, from 247 to 269, according to the late state state data. Of those patients, 28 required intensive care.
Los Angeles County far outpaces the region in the highest number of current COVID hospital cases, but San Diego County came in second, with Orange County in third.
