1. Why are gasoline prices so high? A few factors come into play. The price of crude oil (based on supply and demand), the cost of transportation, refining costs, federal and state taxes all determine what we pay at the pump. 2. It affects more than 6 million people in the U.S. It is a devastating disease that takes away a person’s memory and leaves them incapacitated.
