Here are three top stories in San Diego today:
- Why are gasoline prices so high? A few factors come into play. The price of crude oil (based on supply and demand), the cost of transportation, refining costs, federal and state taxes all determine what we pay at the pump. Add them all up and you can see why the average price of a gallon of gas in California is $4.65. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (24/7 Wall St. - San Diego)
- It affects more than 6 million people in the U.S. It is a devastating disease that takes away a person’s memory and leaves them incapacitated. As of yet, there is no cure or way to prevent the disease. Now, a $50 million donation has been established to conduct Alzheimer’s research, find treatments, and a cure. - Good news! Beginning Feb. 2, adults 55+ can take personal enrichment courses at San Diego Community College District.
