SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Fire Department is working to rescue individuals stuck in their cars during flooding, according to a post on X.
"Our swiftwater rescue teams are actively working to rescue individuals stuck in their cars along Fashion Valley Rd. & Riverwalk Dr.," the FD, which posted at about 10:04 a.m. on New Year's Day, said.
"Stay safe, SD. Please avoid the area & never walk or drive through floodwaters. Just 12" of fast moving water can carry away a vehicle," the fire department said.
