Rubio's New Shrimp Tacos Go Statewide After San Diego Test Run
Have you tried the Baja Beer-Battered Shrimp Taco?

SAN DIEGO, CA — After what Rubio's Coastal Grill officials are calling a "successful test run" in San Diego, the chain is taking statewide its newest dish, the Baja Beer-Battered Shrimp Taco.
Beginning Aug. 16 and priced at $8.99, the Baja Beer-Battered Shrimp Taco plate, with a new signature Baja sauce, will hit menus at Rubio's locales throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.
"One bite brings back great memories of eating authentic shrimp tacos on the Baja coast," said company co-founder Ralph Rubio, who knows a thing or two about Baja-inspired cuisine.

He launched Rubio's in 1983 as a walk-up stand in San Diego's Mission Bay after becoming hooked on fish tacos as a college student during a Mexican spring break.
“Our Baja Beer-Battered Shrimp Taco is a sister product of The Original Fish Taco," Rubio said. “We’ve been thinking about doing a shrimp version of our fish taco for a long time and are excited to offer it at a great value.”
