Sailor's Body Discovered On Aircraft Carrier Docked Near Coronado
The U.S. Navy is investigating the death of a sailor whose body was found aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson Sunday.

CORONADO, CA — The. U.S. Navy is investigating the death of a sailor found unresponsive aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson Sunday morning.
Navy Region Southwest Federal Fire Department paramedics were called to the ship docked at the Naval Air Station North Island where they pronounced the sailor dead, according to the U.S. Navy.
According to a statement by the Navy, the circumstances of the death are under investigation, but there are no indications of suicide or foul play. The identity of the sailor is being withheld for 24 hours after the notification of the primary next of kin.
