School Aide Accused Of Having Sex With Student In San Diego County

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — A woman was accused Wednesday of having sex with a student while working as a campus aide at a school in the South Bay area of San Diego County.

Deputies responded to a radio call Monday to investigate allegations of a student support aide having sex with a 17-year-old student at Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

Lisette Ortega Veles, 31, an employee of an outside contractor, was arrested on suspicion of engaging in oral copulation and sexual intercourse with a minor, sheriff's Lt. Patrick Fox said. She was also facing charges of arranging a meeting with a minor for the purposes of committing a lewd act, communicating with a minor with intent to commit a lewd act, and trying to prevent a victim from reporting a crime.

Ortega was working for RO Healthcare, a third-party contractor used by Mar Vista High School.

She was booked into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee.
