  1. It’s a great weekend to be active outside. With “Jurassic Quest” at the Del Mar Fairgrounds to Disney on Ice’s “Dream Big” at the Pechanga Arena, there is plenty of family fun awaiting you. Meanwhile, the Patio Playhouse in Escondido presents the cult musical, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," while North Coast Repertory in Solana Beach offers a musical take on Shakespeare, "Desperate Measures." In addition, Cinema Under the Stars in Mission Hills screens “Last Night in Soho,” while the AMA Supercross kicks off its Western Regional 250SX Class Championship Round 3 event in Petco Park. 2. Home prices skyrocket! The lack of inventory in the market has driven up the median price for single-family homes across San Diego County. Single-family homes went for about $842K, while condos went for $545K. Need greater affordability? Check out areas south of Interstate-8 or go east for lower costs. 3. San Diego officials will consider changes to the City’s “comprehensive” housing law. The proposed changes will affect the entire city and will give developers more latitude to choose locations to build low-income units offsite if they wish. In other words, developers could choose to merge middle-income housing with low-income units at the same site or they could build low-income units at another location.
