SD County Gas Prices Drop To Lowest Level Since March 10
The average price has decreased 64.8 cents during the streak.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Saturday for the 38th consecutive day, decreasing 3.8 cents to $5.725, its lowest amount since March 10.

The average price has decreased 64.8 cents during the streak, including 2.4 cents Friday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The streak of decreases follows a run of 19 increases in 20 days totaling 35.5 cents.
The average price is 17.5 cents less than one week ago and 58 cents lower than one month ago, but $1.411 more than one year ago.

“Los Angeles wholesale gasoline prices have dropped by about $1.50 since their highest point in early June and are now at their lowest level since Feb. 28,” said Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
“A few stations in Los Angeles and San Diego counties have already dropped their prices below $5 a gallon, and we would expect more stations will join them provided current trends continue,” he added.
The national average price dropped for the 39th consecutive day following an 18-day streak of increases, decreasing 3.1 cents to $4.382. It has dropped 63.4 cents over the past 39 days, including 2.7 cents Friday, after rising 41.5 cents during the 18-day streak of increases.
The national average price is 16.6 cents less than one week ago and 55.8 cents lower than one month ago, but $1.227 more than one year ago.
