SD Man Killed In Freeway Traffic Crash While Changing Tire Identified
A 22-year-old man who died in a traffic crash while trying to change a flat tire on his car alongside a South Bay freeway was identified.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Friday publicly identified a 22-year-old man who died in a traffic crash while trying to change a flat tire on his car alongside a South Bay freeway.
Dave Post II of San Diego was working to fix his car in a median on the eastbound side of state Route 54 near Highland Avenue in National City when a vehicle rammed into it shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The impact caused Post's vehicle to slam into him, hurling him into the roadway, the agency reported. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Post was a member of the San Diego Silverbacks of the semi- professional LaBelle Developmental Football League, the team stated Friday on its website.
