SDFD Extinguishes Half-Acre Brush Fire

There were no threatened structures or injuries, according to the department.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A brush fire burned half an acre Friday in the vicinity of state Route 52 and Interstate 805, near San Clemente Canyon.

The fire was first reported at 6:33 a.m. Friday, with a crew arriving about 10 minutes later, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Although access was difficult, a helicopter doused water on most the blaze, with a ground crew putting it out, the SDFD reported.
