SDG&E Customers To Get Break On April Bill
Residential SDG&E customers will receive a $81.38 credit on their electric bill and $54.21 credit on their natural gas bill.
SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego Gas & Electric customers will get a break on their energy bill in April.
Residential SDG&E customers will receive a $81.38 credit on their electric bill and $54.21 credit on their natural gas bill, thanks to the California Climate Credit. The program, administered by the California Public Utilities Commission, is part of the state's effort to fight climate change.
"Through collaboration with the California Public Utilities Commission, our customers will see some financial relief in their upcoming bill," SDG&E Chief Customer Officer Dana Golan said. "If anyone is struggling to pay their bill, they can reach out to us to learn about various financial assistance programs we have available."

A second electric credit will be applied to bills in October, bringing the total saved by the California Climate Credit program to $217 for SDG&E customers.
The credits come from the state's Cap-and-Trade Program that "requires polluters to pay for climate pollution," according to SDG&E. Credits are distributed in April and October each year.
