SeaWorld San Diego Welcomes 2 Baby Dolphins
Meet Jupiter and Phin, who were born to first-time mothers, Corona and Coco.

SAN DIEGO, CA — SeaWorld San Diego is celebrating the birth of two bottlenose dolphin calves.
Jupiter and Phin, born in late 2024 and early 2025, are flourishing under the watchful care of their first-time mothers, Corona and Coco, according to the marine life theme park. The male calves are currently nursing, rapidly growing and displaying curiosity and social bonding behaviors that are key indicators of healthy development.
"These births are a testament to the strong maternal instincts of their moms and the dedication of our animal care team," said Wendy Ramirez, curator of Zoological Operations at SeaWorld San Diego and manager of the dolphin facilities. "To have three generations of dolphins thriving under our care is a remarkable accomplishment, and it's a sign of a healthy, socially dynamic pod."

Coco, who is 17 years old, gave birth to Phin. Corona, Jupiter's mother, is the daughter of Cometta, one of the park's long-time residents, making Jupiter part of a meaningful legacy within the dolphin family.
The calves are being closely monitored by animal care specialists and will join the larger pod once they reach developmental milestones related to swimming ability and social readiness, according to SeaWorld.
