SeaWorld San Diego's Halloween Spooktacular​ To Return In September

Spooktacular will feature a pirate-themed adventure filled with interactive activities and more trick-or-treat stations than ever before.

SAN DIEGO, CA — SeaWorld San Diego's Halloween Spooktacular is slated to return in September will all-new festive fun.

The theme park's annual family-friendly Halloween event will feature an all-new pirate-themed adventure filled with interactive activities, a new candy quest and the new Pirate Sea Shanty Band. Other new activities include story time with Captain Sweet Tooth and First Mate Peggy, a cavalcade with themed floats, and a waterfront pumpkin patch.

The Halloween magic continues with the return of spooky favorites including O.P Otter's Spooktacular Surprise, where visitors can join O.P. Otter and friends in a Halloween costume party, mermaid meet and greets, and a festive pumpkin scavenger hunt throughout the park.

There will also be more trick-or-treat stations than ever before, with 10 candy stations along the Trick-or-Treat Candy Trail, according to SeaWorld. A SeaWorld trick-or-trick bag is required to participate in trick-or-treating and will be available to purchase.

The event will also include the celebration of the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos from Nov. 1-3. The celebration will feature Catrina statues and ofrendas, or offerings, of flowers and mementos honoring loved ones who have died.
