Possible Threat Involving San Diego School Prompts Police Response
The school district said it had "taken appropriate disciplinary steps."
SAN DIEGO, CA — An Instagram post involving a shooting threat concerning Patrick Henry High School prompted a police response Wednesday, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
"A student posted a potential threat on social media that was allegedly made by another student," a school district spokesperson said in an email. "SDPD responded, conducted a welfare check at student’s home and determined the threat to be non-credible. School Police is coordinating with SDPD. The school has taken appropriate disciplinary steps."
The campus was cleared by police to open for the day, the Union-Tribune reported, but any students who stay home will receive an excused absence.
