- The bad news is that, once again, no one won the SuperLotto Plus jackpot. The good news is that, once again, no one won the jackpot, and that means, there is still a chance for you to win. - San Diego has hit a new tragic milestone. There have been more than 5K COVID-19 deaths here. "Every death is tragic, and our condolences go out to the family and friends of all of the San Diegans who have lost their lives during this pandemic," said Wilma J. Wooten, M.D., M.P.H., County public health officer. "Vaccination continues to be our best defense against COVID-19 and associated hospitalizations. - San Diego Police Department: "We're celebrating Black History Month by featuring one of our senior law enforcement officers, Lt. Vernon Peterson of our Gang Investigations Unit. Lt. Peterson has approximately 23 years with @SanDiegoPD and has a degree in behavioral science and a minor in criminal justice. His career started at Central Division on patrol. He worked various assignments such as narcotics and the bike team. In 2011, he was promoted to detective, where he worked mid-city investigations, vice, and internal affairs. In 2014, Lt. Peterson was promoted to sergeant, and in 2020 he was promoted to lieutenant. Thank you, Lt.
