Student Arrested In Stabbing At High School In North County
Both the victim and the suspect are students at the school, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

SAN MARCOS, CA — A student was arrested on suspicion of stabbing another student at a high school in San Diego's North County.
The stabbing was reported just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. When deputies arrived on campus, a school resource deputy found the victim on school grounds.
The victim was taken to the nurse's office for treatment before he was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Sgt. Ryan Ehrlich said. He was expected to survive.

Deputies were given information about a possible suspect in the stabbing. The suspect was arrested at his home a short time later, Ehrlich said.

The high school was placed on lockdown shortly before 3:40 p.m. Authorities lifted the order after the suspect was arrested.
