Suspicious Object Found Near San Diego Law Library Not Dangerous: Police

The blacked-squared object "looked like a package with wiring coming out of it," an SDPD officer said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Police Saturday investigated a suspicious object found by the entrance of the San Diego Law Library that turned out to be harmless, an official said.

The object was first reported at 10:40 a.m. Saturday by the library at 1105 Front St., according to the San Diego Police Department.

The blacked-squared object "looked like a package with wiring coming out of it," an SDPD officer said.

Police worked with the Metropolitan Transit System to shut down trolley service through the intersection as authorities investigated the object, which "didn't turn out to be anything dangerous," an officer said.

Trolley service through the intersection was reopened Saturday afternoon.

There were no reported injuries, and no arrests in connection with the suspicious object.
