Teenager Wounded In Chula Vista Shooting

CHULA VISTA, CA — A shooting at a Chula Vista apartment complex left an 18-year-old man wounded Tuesday.

The gunfire erupted at about 11:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of Santa Rita, just east of Heritage Road and south of Palomar Street, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition for treatment of apparently non-life-threatening wounds, police said.

There was no immediate description of the shooter, who had fled by the time patrol officers arrived in the area.
