Woman Shot At San Diego Intersection

The woman was standing at an intersection when a man walked up to her​ and started shooting, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was shot early Thursday morning in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego, authorities said.

The 20-year-old woman was standing at the intersection of Vesta and Dalbergia streets at 3:07 a.m. when a man walked up to her and started shooting, according to the San Diego Police Department.

"There were no words exchanged, or physical altercation prior to the shooting," Officer David O'Brien said.

The woman was wounded in her right forearm, O'Brien said. She was taken to a hospital. Her injury was not considered to be life-threatening.

The suspect fled the scene. He was described as wearing all black clothing and a black mask.
