Woman Struck By SUV While Walking In Little Italy Neighborhood
Paramedics took the woman to a hospital for treatment of a fractured pelvis, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 55-year-old woman was injured Saturday evening when she was struck by an SUV while walking in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego.
The apparent accident occurred at 6:42 p.m. Saturday at West Cedar and State streets, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
A 53-year-old man was westbound on Cedar Street in a 2003 GMC Yukon and stopped at a stop sign in the intersection of Cedar and State streets, Heims said. "He did not see the pedestrian and pulled forward and struck her."

The crosswalk was not marked, he said.
Paramedics took the woman to a hospital for treatment of a fractured pelvis, an injury not believed life-threatening, Heims said.
