Youth Killed In Fight At SD Trolley Station
San Diego police are looking for a killer who fled the scene in a dark vehicle.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A youth was stabbed to death in a fight near the Palm Avenue Trolley Station Tuesday, and police are looking for the killer today.
The stabbing occurred just before 8 p.m. at 600 Hollister St., according to Lt. Jud Campbell of the SDPD.
Police responding to a report of a young person being stabbed during an altercation arrived to find a man bleeding from a stab wound at the trolley station.

Transit security and the responding officers began lifesaving measures, the lieutenant said. Paramedics arrived and took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"San Diego police homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate," Campbell said. "The preliminary information gathered at this time is there was a physical fight on the west sidewalk of 600 Hollister Street. The fight moved into a nearby parking lot. The participants were a small group of Hispanic males. During the fight, the victim was stabbed. He ran across the street to the trolley station where he was ultimately located."

According to police, the suspect fled the scene in a waiting dark-colored vehicle last seen headed southbound on Hollister Street. He was described a teenager or young adult. No further description was available.
Detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward. They are also canvassing the area for surveillance footage.
