1 Dead In San Francisco House Fire: Officials
Fire crews responded to the fire in the 200 block of London Street just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — One person is dead following a fire at a home in San Francisco's Excelsior District on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded to the 200 block of London Street just after 2 p.m. after a two-story single-family home caught ablaze, the San Francisco Fire Department said.
Firefighters arrived at the scene within three minutes and launched an "aggressive interior attack while conducting rescue operations," authorities said. One person was found inside the home and was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.

The person was not immediately identified, and their cause of death is unclear. Fire officials and the San Francisco Police Department will investigate the person's death.
Although the fire has since been extinguished, SFFD officials said London Street remains closed to traffic as of 3:24 p.m. and that people should avoid the area.
