Mysterious SF Investigation Snares Baltimore Police Officers: Reports

The officers are now performing administrative tasks while they await the results of the investigation, according to news reports.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Four Baltimore police officers have been suspended and are at the center of an investigation in San Francisco, according to multiple news reports.

It's unclear why the officers were in San Francisco, and police declined to provide details about the nature of the investigation, according to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle.

No charges have been filed against the officers. But they were stripped of their police duties and reassigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of the investigation, according to The Baltimore Banner.

Among those being investigated is Maj. Jai Etwaroo, a commander of the Baltimore Police Department's Eastern District, according to the reports.

Etwaroo has been with the department since 2010, according to the police department's website. He has previously served as a deputy commissioner of operations and was part of the Use of Force Assessment Unit, according to the website.
