BART Station Temporarily Closes After Person Stuck Under Train

The incident at Montgomery Street temporarily caused major train delays.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- A person reportedly was stuck under a train at a San Francisco BART station late Sunday morning, causing transit system delays. The incident was reported after 11 a.m. Sunday at the Montgomery BART station.

According to KPIX, the person is alive but it's unclear what injuries, if any, the person sustained.

Authorities temporarily closed the station for more than an hour as crews worked to rescue the person. As of 12:03 p.m., the station reopened.
