Close Encounter With A Hawk: Photos Of The Day

FREMONT, CA — Photographer Steve Dhillon recently nabbed some great shots of a local hawk.

"It's very rare to see a hawk perched so very close to your house," he told Patch. "This one, known as a Cooper's hawk, was photographed on my patio just outside my family room."

Dhillon said he's seen hawks "high in the sky flying above trees, but never this close."
