2. Bay Area Filmmaker Convicted In Killing Of Sister's Ex-Husband: Reports (patch.com) — San Franciscans are following the conviction of local filmmaker and journalist Kevin Epps, found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and illegal firearm possession in the 2016 shooting death of his ex-brother-in-law inside his San Francisco home. 3. SF launches street safety overhaul as traffic deaths climb (axios.com) — San Francisco is rolling out a major street safety overhaul as traffic deaths rise, including a new cross-agency working group led by the mayor and SFMTA. Within 100 days, the city plans to update its High Injury Network map, boost enforcement on dangerous corridors, and tighten scooter, bike, and speeding rules, responding to mounting pressure from safety advocates and alarming crash data.

4. Daily News Briefs: Tuesday, December 16, 2025 (tollroadsnews.com) — A new 18-mile express lane corridor on I-80 that helps connect San Francisco with Sacramento and the Sierra Nevada is now fully open, with early reports of smooth traffic.
