Equipment Issue, Police Activity Cause BART Delays

There are up to 10-minute delays in some areas, transit officials said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — BART riders should expect delays Monday morning due to equipment issues and police activity, transit officials said.

The equipment issues on the track have since been resolved, but BART officials said riders on the San Francisco Line. should expect up to a 10-minute delay in the Transbay Tube.

A 10-minute delay alert was also issued due to police activity, officials said. Details of the police activity were limited, but transit officials said riders at West Oakland should also expect a 10-minute delay if heading toward San Francisco Airport, Millbrae and Daly City.

The delay comes a week after an issue with the Transbay Tube on Monday, Oct. 20, caused major delays for riders.
