As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect near-normal temperatures through the week, according to the National Weather Service.
"Fairly quiet conditions this week, with the marine layer making additional appearances for at least another night or two," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Temperatures will generally be near their seasonal averages this week, though interior temperatures might rise a few degrees each day before moderating some late into the week and weekend."

In other news, an earthquake rattled the Bay Area; a fire at Oracle Park prompted evacuations; two people were injured in a lithium-ion battery fire at a high-rise building; and one person was killed and three were injured in a fiery head-on crash.
Also, in Southern California, National Guard troops arrived in downtown Los Angeles after two days of immigration raids and protests, but within hours, the tension boiled over and protests turned violent.
