Fugitive SF Gang Member Found Along With Weapons Cache: Police

A huge cache of weapons was found by police during an operation in Oakland to arrest a fugitive San Francisco gang member, police say.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Police say that during a search for a fugitive SF gang member this week, a huge cache of weapons was found, according to a message posted Wednesday, Oct. 13 to the San Francisco Police Dept. Investigation Bureau's Twitter account.

"Last night an operation in Oakland to arrest a fugitive San Francisco gang member was carried out in Oakland by Officers assigned to our Violence Reduction Team (CVRT), Crime Gun Investigations Center (CGIC) & ATF Agents. Multiple armed suspects taken into custody and booked," the message stated.

The post included a photo of a large number of weapons, including handguns, semi-automatic weapons and a sizable amount of ammunition.
