SAN FRANCISCO — Firefighters Monday rescued a golden retriever from the cliffside at Fort Funston.

Emergency personnel warned people around 1 p.m. of the impending rescue, asking the public to keep trails clear and dogs on leash during the endeavor.

The golden retriever was not injured and was brought to safety by San Francisco Fire Department units from Fire Station 19 and Cliff Rescue 19, according to the agency.
