Local and federal leaders gathered Monday in front of San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge to celebrate the $400 million the bridge has received to strengthen its resilience against disasters.

The initiative comes as part of the Biden administration's historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which is the largest investment in U.S. bridges since the creation of the interstate highway system in the 50s.
