Man Accused Of Sexually Battering Child At Bay Area Park Charged With Multiple Felonies

The defendant assaulted a child in the bathrooms of Polo Fields at Golden Gate Park on Oct. 23, prosecutors said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man accused of sexually battering a child at a popular Bay Area park has been charged with several crimes, prosecutors said.

Dominick Jeremiah Valle-Buitrago, 19, is facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, committing forcible lewd acts upon a child, assault with intent to commit a felony of a person under the age of 18, committing a lewd act upon a child, kidnapping and false imprisonment in connection with the sexual battering of a child at Poli Fields in Golden Gate Park on Oct. 23, according to the San Francisco Distrct Attorney's Office.

Prosecutors say Valle-Buitrago sexually battered the child in the park bathrooms. He was identified thanks to a tip from a parent and arrested on Thursday in Pleasant Hill, authorities said.

The District Attorney's Office will try to convince a judge to keep Valle-Buitrago jailed without bail, as prosecutors say he poses a risk to the public.
