San Francisco Police Arrest 2 Men In Stabbing Investigation
Both men were hospitalized following a melee outside a business.

SAN FRANCISCO — Police in San Francisco have arrested two men suspected in a stabbing in the Mission this week, the department said Thursday.
On Wednesday at about 4:44 p.m., officers were sent to the area of 21st and 22nd streets on a report of a stabbing. Police arrived and discovered a man who had injuries associated with an assault.
Investigators believe that the victim was standing in front of a business when he was approached by a vehicle. A person in the vehicle began to engage the victim in a verbal confrontation and then exited the car, police said.

The verbal fight turned physical and additional suspects joined in on the melee. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed.
According to police, the stabbing victim was medically assessed by paramedics at the scene and is expected to survive.

During the investigation, officers were informed that someone had walked into a local hospital with an apparent stab wound but was expected to survive. Officers believe this man, Daly City resident Jose Velasquez Martinez, 25, was part of the original assault and learned that another suspect was at the hospital as well, Josue Troche, 21, of San Francisco.
Both Velasquez Martinez and Troche are suspected of assault with a deadly weapon and police said they had probable cause to arrest both of them.
