SFFILM Presents 'His Three Daughters' With The 2024 SF Honors Award

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — SFFILM, the non-profit organization that helms the San Francisco International Film Festival, recently presented writer-director Azazel Jacobs and his film, “His Three Daughters,” with the 2024 SF Honors Award at a special screening event in the Premier Theater at One Letterman.

The new indie film radiates with piercing poignancy, stellar performances and exquisite storytelling. Carrie Coon, Elizabeth Olsen and Natasha Lyonne play three estranged sisters who converge to care for their gravely ill father as he approaches the final days of his life. Jovan Adepo plays a supporting role.

Since its screen debut on Sept. 20, “His Three Daughters” has received both critical acclaim and streaming success, earning an incredible 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a well-coveted spot in Netflix’s global top 10.

Jacobs, Olsen and Adepo were in attendance to receive SFFILM’S prestigious award.

Jessie Fairbanks, SFFILM’s Director of Programming, was full of praise for the entire cast and crew.

“Jacobs’ singular script and direction, complete with tour de force performances and a tactile sense of place are the perfect match for our annual SF Honors.”

SFFILM’s Executive Director Anne Lai also shared, “SF Honors celebrates the audacity of a singular vision in current cinema, something SFFILM’s audiences deeply appreciate and enjoy.”
