Stephen Curry To Miss Rest Of Regular Season With Foot Injury

The Warriors (48-29) have lost four straight games and seven of their last eight since Curry suffered the injury March 18 in Boston.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will miss the rest of the regular season with a foot injury, the team announced Friday.

Curry sprained a ligament in his left foot March 18 in Boston. The Warriors (48-29) have lost four straight games and seven of their last eight since Curry suffered the injury.

The team said their two-time MVP and seven-time All-Star has made “good progress” but that his status won’t be updated until April 11, the day after Golden State is scheduled to play its regular season finale in New Orleans.

“(Curry) has spent the last two weeks performing various rehabilitation exercises in the training and weight rooms under the guidance of the team’s performance staff,” the Warriors said in a statement.

“He will gradually begin individual on-court activities next week, and his eventual return to practice will be based on his continued progress.”

Curry is averaging 25.5 points and shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc this season.

Earlier this season Curry moved ahead of Ray Allen for the NBA’s all-time 3-point shooting record.
