SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco emergency officials said people should avoid the area of Market and 18th streets due to flooding and a hillside collapse.

Shortly before noon, those same officials asked people to avoid all unnecessary travel during the current storm as trees are down throughout city, causing traffic impacts.

Market and Fillmore are two of the streets with problems.

Also, people should avoid the area of 224 Haight Street and Buchanan due to flooding.

At 8:40 a.m. Sunday, CHP issued an extreme wind advisory for the westbound Bay Bridge, from the center anchorage to San Francisco. CHP says special attention should be paid by drivers of box trucks crossing the bridge, with the possibility of them overturning.
