Woman Who Opened Fire During Fight In SF Arrested: Police

She was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and multiple other crimes, police said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police say they've arrested a woman who tried to shoot another person during a fight in San Francisco on Wednesday night.

The suspect got into an argument with at least one person near the 100 block of Eddy Street in the city's Tenderloin neighborhood, which turned into a fight, the San Francisco Police Department said.

At some point during the fight, the woman pulled out a gun and shot towards the other person, police said, adding that nobody was injured during the shooting.

Although the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, they located her near the area of Cyril Magnin and Eddy streets, police said.

Officers seized a firearm from the suspect, who the SFPD identified as 34-year-old Katelyn Williams.

Williams was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon, brandishing a firearm and negligent discharge of a firearm, police said.
