Teen Shot, Later Arrested For Allegedly Carrying Loaded Gun
Officials say a 17-year-old boy was shot while sitting in a car in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Friday night.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA- A 17-year-old boy was shot while sitting in a car in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Friday night and was later arrested for carrying a loaded firearm, a police spokesman said today.
The shooting was reported around 9:20 p.m. in the 400 block of Sunrise Way. The boy was in a rear passenger seat of a Chevrolet sedan that also had two 18-year-old women inside when four or five suspects approached on foot and opened fire at them, San Francisco police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.
The Chevy driver drove away after the shooting and responding officers found the car speeding on Hahn Street nearby, Andraychak said.

The vehicle, which had rear damage, didn't stop at several stop signs so officers initiated a pursuit that ended when the car stopped on Leland Avenue near Bayshore Boulevard, the sergeant said.
The 17-year-old boy had suffered gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Investigators later learned he was in possession of a loaded firearm and arrested him for that offense, Andraychak said. His name is not being released because he is a juvenile.
The two 18-year-old women also suffered minor injuries from broken glass in the shooting, Andraychak said. Two parked cars were struck and damaged by gunfire as well. The shooting suspects, described as black males wearing dark clothing and facemasks, remained at large as of this morning, he said.
